Reva Delores Orr

Reva Delores Orr, age 94, passed away peacefully on January 27, 2026. She lived a long, meaningful life marked by resilience, kindness, and a deep devotion to those she loved.

She was a woman of quiet strength and steady grace, someone who found joy in simple moments and offered comfort with her gentle presence. Her warmth touched everyone around her - family, friends, neighbors, and the many people whose lives she brightened over the years.

Reva graduated High School in 1948, The Ohio State University in 1952, and the Medical College of Virginia in 1953 earning a practical dietetic degree.

Doctors West Hospital in Columbus was one of many hospitals being part of her career in dietetics and food service management.

Throughout her life, she cherished her family above all else. She was a devoted mother, a loyal friend, and a source of wisdom and encouragement to those fortunate enough to know her. Her compassion extended beyond people as well; she had a lifelong love for animals and believed deeply in caring for all living creatures.

She spent her final months in the caring hands of the staff at Johnstown Pointe Nursing and Rehabilitation, whose kindness and dedication brought comfort to her and her family.

She is survived by her children, Diane Linn of Dallas, Tx., Bruce Linn of Sunbury, Oh., Mark Linn of Centerburg, Oh., and Paul Linn of Logan, Oh., six grandchildren, and six great grandchildren., who will forever carry her memory in their hearts. She was preceded in death by her ex-husband Dwight E. Linn, her husband James E. Orr, her sister and two brothers.

A Memorial Service will be held on a future date and she will be laid to rest at Sunset Cemetery in Galloway, Ohio with James.

In lieu of flowers, the family kindly requests contributions to the Marion Area Humane Society in her memory, honoring her enduring love for animals.

Her life was a testament to patience, humility, and quiet courage. She will be deeply missed and lovingly remembered.
