Rex dedicated several years of his career to the oil field, working on oil rigs, and went on to drive cement trucks at various cement plants, with his last employment at Lamar Concrete. His work ethic was matched only by his vibrant personality. Known for his silly nature, Rex had an uncanny ability to crack jokes and bring smiles to those around him, making him a beloved figure in the community.

He fondly recalled the joy of dress-up sessions where he would don a full face of makeup thanks to the creativity of his sweet granddaughters. He delighted in building, woodworking, and crafting various projects, often tending to his plants and flowers outdoors. Additionally, he took immense pride in watching his youngest son play baseball, a testament to the deep bond he shared with his family.
Rex is survived by his devoted spouse, Janice Dennis; his sons, Allen Dennis and Buddy Dennis; his granddaughter, Cameron Dennis; and his great-granddaughter, Kinleigh Davis. He also leaves behind his sisters, Euna Johnson with Ronald and Patricia Butzin; his brother, Buford Dennis; and a multitude of nieces, nephews, his bird Sky and extended family who will cherish his memory and continue to honor the legacy of kindness and laughter he bestowed upon them.
