Glen Clifton Corley, age 88, of Lumberton, MS., received his new body on November 13, 2025. He passed peacefully, surrounded by his loving family.
Mr. Corley was a loving and giving man. He loved God and strove to serve Him every day by caring for and encouraging those around him. He was a gifted farmer and businessman who approached every endeavor with integrity and character.
He lived out the words he once wrote: “My heart yearns not for wealth or fame, nor for the praise of man. The beauties of nature shall ever be my claim.”
His greatest earthly love was his wife, Sigrid. He also loved children and horses, and he found joy in doing anything that involved his family. He faithfully took his family to church and instilled in them the importance of serving God and living by faith.
Glen is preceded in death by his father, James Clifton Corley, and his mother, Ruby Gerrard Corley; his brothers, James Oliver Corley and Stanley Dean Corley, as well as an infant son, Robert Clifton Corley.
Glen is survived by his sister, Nancy Carol Lee, his cherished wife, Sigrid Draht Corley, and their three devoted daughters, Susan Maria Corley, Sandra Kay Corley Mills and her husband Jerry and the Mills Family, and Sylvia Jean Corley Hanna and her husband Dale. He also leaves behind his son, John Glen Corley, and his wife Elizabeth, who provided him with countless moments of joy and pride. His legacy continues through his wonderful grandchildren, Olivia Claire Burrough and her husband Andre, John Taylor Gustav Corley, Kayla Marie Bond Parker and her husband Adrain, and Katherine Marie Hanna. Glen was also a proud great-grandfather to Danni Burrough, Grey Emmett Parker, and Addison Burrough, who brought light and laughter into his life. Glen was loved and cared for dearly by Miss Doris Swindle, his caretaker, and Joshua Dearman and his family who loved him deeply.
A visitation service honoring Glen's life will be held at Indian Springs Baptist Church in Petal, Mississippi, on November 17, 2025, from 10:00 AM to 11:00 AM, followed by a funeral service from 11:00 AM to 12:00 PM. Glen's impact on the lives of those around him will always be remembered with fondness and respect. He leaves behind a profound legacy of love and strength, and he will be deeply missed by all who knew him.
