Rex Winfield Heaton, age 71, of Nashville, TN, formerly of Illinois, passed away on Saturday, February 28, 2026.
Rex was preceded in death by his parents.
Those left to cherish his memory include his daughter, Betty Bailey (Austin) of Paintsville, KY, formerly of Lawrenceburg, TN. He also leaves behind siblings and a host of friends who will forever carry his memory in their hearts.
Rex was known for his carefree spirit and the way he lived life on his own terms. He found joy in the simple things. He loved being outdoors and expressing himself through his artwork. His creativity and free spirit were part of what made him so unique to those who knew him.
Though he may be gone from this world, the memories, laughter, and moments shared with him will live on in the hearts of the people who loved him.
Rex will be deeply loved, forever remembered, and greatly missed by all who knew him.
