Mr. Rex McKey

Mr. Rex McKey, 69, of Henderson, passed away at his home on October 19, 2025, in Henderson. He was born May 20, 1956, in Henderson to Jesse and Lillian (Stewart) McKey and was a lifelong resident of Henderson. Mr. McKey married the love of his life, Cathy, on March 17, 1973. He worked for the City of Henderson as a Crew Forman in the Water Department and retired after forty years. In his spare time, Mr. McKey enjoyed hunting and fishing and was fond of tinkering in his workshop. Mr. McKey loved his family and took great pleasure in spending all the time he could with them. He was a member of New Covenant Church.
Mr. McKey was preceded in death by his parents, Jesse and Lillian McKey; brothers, Jo Bill McKey, Johnny McKey; and granddaughter, Madilyn McKey.
Survivors include his wife of fifty-two years, Cathy McKey of Henderson; sons, Matthew McKey and wife Jana of Tyler, Timothy McKey and wife Cinnamon of Henderson; grandchildren, Justin McKey, Megan McKey, Brooklyn McKey, Mason McKey; brother, Herchell McKey of Henderson; sisters, Anell Curtis of Henderson, Shirley McKey of Henderson; and a host of nieces, nephews, other family, and friends.
