Rex Wendell Rasnick, II, 70, passed away Friday, July 4, 2025 under Hospice Care. He was born on September 7, 1954 to Woo McCauley Rasnick and the late N Ber Rasnick in Versailles, Kentucky.
Rex graduated from the University of Kentucky with a degree in civil engineering. He worked briefly for the state highway department, and then Phillips Petroleum in Dallas, Texas, before finishing his career with Boeing in Seattle Washington. Rex was preceded in death by his father, N. Ber Rsnick, and survived by his mother, Woo McCauley Rasnick, Versailles, sister, Cary (Mike) Ricketts, Louisville, nephews, Jake Ricketts, Patrick (Ashley) Ricketts, McCauley (Jill) Ricketts, niece, Cary (Channing) Cox, great nieces, Maddie, Elliott, Lucy, Charlotte, Elise Ricketts, and Mary Mac Cox, great nephews, Gentry and Lawson Cox, and Graham Ricketts.
His family and friends and dear friends JoAnna Mitchell, and Stiles Miller brought much joy to his life in these last years.
In lieu of flowers donations are suggested to Woodford County Library, 115 N. Main Street Versailles, Kentucky 40383, or Woodford County Humane Society, 265 Thomas Lane Versailles, Kentucky 40383, or charity of choice.
Graveside services will be held at 11:30 am, Tuesday, July 8, 2025 at Versailles Cemetery. Friends and family are encouraged to leave messages of condolences and memories on Rex's tribute wall.
