Reyna Maria Castanon of Longview, Texas, went home to be with her Lord and Savior on September 20th, 2025 at the age of 55. She was born on January 6th, 1970 in Tampico, Mexico to Inocente Perez and Irene Sanchez. Reyna married the love of her life, Enrique Castanon, for 40 years until her passing. Reyna and Enrique shared a life rooted in faith and family. Reyna moved to Longview, Texas from Tampico, Mexico in 1995, where she created a warm and loving fresh start for her family and new community. She was a devoted member of Spanish Assembly of God, faithfully serving as an usher and always greeting others with warmth and kindness. She dedicated many years as a stay-at-home wife and mother, cherishing time with her children and later her grandchildren, who brought her endless joy. In more recent years, Reyna took great pride in helping her family open and run Mr. Churro. She loved sitting with a cup of coffee, visiting with customers, and making everyone feel at home while supporting the family business. Reyna is preceeded in death by her father Inocente Perez, her sister Mary Chuy De Torres, and her brother Aldo Perez. She is survived by her mother Irene Sanchez, her husband Enrique Castanon, her son Luis Castanon, daughters Reyna Kimberly Castanon and Genesis Castanon. Brother Eduardo Perez and sister Maribel Perez Sanchez. Grandchildren Carson, Sarai, Eli, and Ella. Reyna will be remembered for her generous heart, her unwavering faith, and the deep love she carried for her family. Her legacy of kindness and devotion will live on in the many lives she touched.
A funeral service will be held at 7 PM Wednesday, September 24, 2025 at Casa De Oracion Spanish, 310 McCann Rd, Longview, Texas with Pastor Augustine Campos officiating. The family will receive friends during a time of viewing and visitation beginning at 4 PM prior to the service. Services have been entrusted to Horn Family Funeral Home in Daingerfield.

Reyna María Castañón de Longview, Texas, fue a casa para estar con su Señor y Salvador el 20 de septiembre de 2025 a la edad de 55 años. Nació el 6 de enero de 1970 en Tampico, México, de Inocente Pérez e Irene Sánchez. Reyna se casó con el amor de su vida, Enrique Castañón, durante 40 años hasta su fallecimiento. Reyna y Enrique compartieron una vida arraigada en la fe y la familia. Reyna se mudó a Longview, Texas, desde Tampico, México, en 1995, donde creó un nuevo comienzo cálido y amoroso para su familia y nueva comunidad. Fue un miembro devoto de la Asamblea Hispana de Dios, sirviendo fielmente como ujier y siempre saludando a los demás con calidez y amabilidad.
Ella dedicó muchos años como esposa y madre que se quedaba en casa, atesorando el tiempo con sus hijos y, más tarde, con sus nietos, quienes le trajeron una alegría infinita. En años más recientes, Reyna se sintió muy orgullosa de ayudar a su familia a abrir y gestionar Mr. Churro. Le encantaba sentarse con una taza de café, conversar con los clientes y hacer que todos se sintieran como en casa mientras apoyaba el negocio familiar. Reyna es precedida en la muerte por su padre Inocente Pérez, su hermana Mary Chuy De Torres y su hermano Aldo Pérez. Le sobrevive su madre Irene Sánchez, su esposo Enrique Castañón, su hijo Luis Castañón, sus hijas Reyna Kimberly Castañón y Génesis Castañón. Su hermano Eduardo Pérez y su hermana Maribel Pérez Sánchez. Nietos Carson, Sarai, Eli y Ella. Reyna será recordada por su corazón generoso, su fe inquebrantable y el profundo amor que tenía por su familia. Su legado de bondad y devoción vivirá en las muchas vidas que tocó. Se llevará a cabo un servicio fúnebre a las 7 PM del miércoles 24 de septiembre de 2025 en Casa De Oracion Spanish, 310 McCann Rd, Longview, Texas, con el Pastor Augustine Campos oficiando. La familia recibirá a los amigos durante un tiempo de visualización y visita a partir de las 4 PM antes del servicio. Los servicios han sido encomendados a Horn Family Funeral Home en Daingerfield.
