Reynaldo Gonzalez, 67, of Port Clinton, Ohio, passed away peacefully, Saturday, April 19, 2025, at Edgewood Manor Nursing Home, Port Clinton. He was born in Tlaltenango, Zacatecas, Mexico on April 15, 1958, to Eleas and Elvira Gonzalez.
Reynaldo spent the early part of his life in Mexico and later emigrated to the United States in order to provide a better life for his family. He had a passion for gardening which led him into the landscaping business. He worked for others and for himself, creating beautiful landscapes for all to enjoy. He worked very hard, showing his family that dedication and perseverance could make their lives better, always looking at the 'big picture". Reynaldo retired in 2019 and enjoyed working in his own yard and garden.
Throughout his life, Reynaldo enjoyed traveling around the United States taking in its beauty. He loved the beach, and he would often take his family on a picnic and swim wherever there was sand and sun!
Reynaldo is survived by his son, Reynaldo (Kerstin) Rodriguez, grandchildren, Reese and Scarlett, brothers, Amador, Ruben, Jose, and Efren Gonzalez, and sister, Estella Gonzalez. He was preceded in death by his parents, and brothers, Antonio, Elias, and Avelardo Gonzalez.
A Funeral Mass will be celebrated on Thursday, May 1, 2025, at 10 AM, in Immaculate Conception Catholic Church, 414 Madison St., Port Clinton, Ohio. The Rosary will be recited, beginning at 9 AM. Interment will be in the Riverview Cemetery following the Mass. The family suggests memorial contributions to the church.
