Rhoda Chase, age 92, of Bedford, IN, went home to be with her Lord and Savior on Thursday, August 7, 2025. Born January 31, 1933, she was the daughter of Everett & Zella Kline. Rhoda was a graduate of Shawswick High School with the class of 1951.

Deep gratitude is given to IU Health Hospice for the compassion and care they provided to Rhoda and the family during these difficult days.

Rhoda was the loving mother of her surviving children, Karen Chase, Alan (Karen) Chase and David (Carolyn) Chase; cherished grandmother of Kyle (Kyle) Chase, Christian Chase, Kory Chase, Jamie Zendian, Kip (Nicole) Chase, Megan (Rick) Vander Ploeg, and Charity Chase; along with being the great-grandmother of Kannon, Konner, Jack, Andy, Will, Kenton, Marlee and Skyla Chase and Rylee Vander Ploeg. Her surviving sister and brothers are Ted (Sandy) Kline, Judy Lee, Jim (Barbara) Kline, and Jerry (Dee) Kline; and her surviving sisters-in-law are Phyllis Kline and Judy Kline. Rhoda was also the aunt of many nieces & nephews.

Rhoda was preceded in death by her husband, Rev. Richard Chase; son, Danny Chase; and grandson, Kevin Chase; her parents, Everett & Zella Kline; siblings, Ella Mae (Morrell) Tucker, Joanne (Robert) Waldrop, Albert Kline and George Kline; and her son-in-law, Morris Lee.

Rhoda is dearly loved and will be missed by her family and friends.

Funeral services will be held at 1:00pm Monday, August 11th, 2025, at the Ferguson-Lee Chapel of Thorne Family Funeral Homes, 818 18th St, Bedford, IN, 47421, with her grandson, Kyle Chase, officiating. Burial will immediately follow at the Erie Methodist Church Cemetery. Visitation will be on Monday, August 11, 2025, from 11:00am until the time of service at 1:00pm, also at the Ferguson-Lee Chapel.
