Rhonda Kaye Dufrene, 45, passed away on January 20, 2025, surrounded by family in Sulphur, La. She was born on August 23, 1979 in New Orleans, La.

Rhonda had a passion for reading, fishing, shopping, playing games, and spending time with her loved ones. She especially treasured playing Scrabble with her Mawmaw Bunch. Known for her sweet nature and radiant smile that could light up any room, Rhonda was a kind soul who brought joy to all who knew her. Her unwavering faith in God was a cornerstone of her life, often saying with conviction, "God will take care of me."

She leaves behind a legacy of love and cherished memories with her aunts and uncles: Richard Jr. Bunch and wife Dollie of Longville, La; Marilyn Rogers and husband Jimmy of Houma, La; Alice Browning of Westlake, La; Linda Sherer and husband Ronald of Westlake La; Curtis Dufrene of Des Allemands, La; and Lottie Waire of Des Allemands, La. Rhonda also shared a special bond with her many cousins, with whom she spent countless joyful moments filled with laughter and silliness. She will also be deeply missed by her multitude of friends.

Rhonda was preceded in death by her beloved parents, Coral and Catherine Dufrene; her grandparents, Richard Sr. and Annette Bunch and Walter and Pearl Dufrene; and her cherished Aunt and Uncle, Gary and Betty Comardelle, and Aunt Pat Dufrene.

Rhonda will be deeply missed by all whose lives she touched. May her memory bring comfort to those who loved her.

Her Memorial Service will be held at 10:00am on Friday January 31, 2025 at The First church of the Nazarene, 3940 Holly Hill Road, Lake Charles, La 70605. Mitchell Mora will officiate
