Rhonda Gessel

Rhonda H. Gessel, age 97 of Macksburg, OH passed away Sunday Evening August 11, 2013 at her home under the care of Marietta Home Health & Hospice. She was born June 22, 1916 in Washington County, OH a daughter of the late Charles and Caroline Boston Adams. Rhonda could often be found sewing, baking and cooking. She enjoyed farming for many years. In addition to her parents she is preceded in death by her husband Elvin Gessel who passed in April of 1959; 1 Son Ray Gessel; 3 Grandchildren and 9 siblings. Rhonda wanted it noted that she was the last surviving Adams. She was loved and will be missed by her family, 1 Daughter Hazel (Harold) Bauerbach of Caldwell, OH; 2 Sons Elmer Gessel of Waterford, OH and Charles (Catherine) Gessel of Macksburg; 41 Grandchildren, Great Grandchildren and Great-Great Grandchildren. She is also survived by several nieces, nephews and friends. Cremation will be observed, no additional funeral services will be held at this time. Inurnment will be held at the convenience of the family in Shafer Cemetery, near Macksburg. In lieu of flowers memorial contributions may be directed to the Marietta Home Health & Hospice, Ripples, the American Cancer Society or a charity of your choice, in Rhondas honor.
