Rhonda L. Smith

Rhonda Lynn (Lofquist) Smith, 59, of Rockford, passed away on March 17, 2026. She was a loving mother, grandmother, aunt, sister, and friend. She was born on January 31, 1967, in Rockford, Illinois, to Ronald and Carol (Creviston) Lofquist. Rhonda was preceded in death by her beloved parents, Ronald and Carol Lofquist; her brother, Brian Lofquist; and her nephew, Dustin Light.

She is survived by her husband, Pat Smith; her loving children, Shonna Kiser; Alyssa (Tyler) Holst; Brandi Kiser; significant other, Dominic Longphee; Melodi Kiser; fiancé, Aidan Wiegert; sister, Colleen (Darren) Mattes; nephews, Bryan Zimmerman and Adam Light; and niece, Charlene (Christopher) Murdakes. She also leaves behind her cherished grandchildren, Ava, Novah, Ryu, Madyson, Braelynn, Mylah, and Layla; along with many extended family members, in-laws, and friends who will deeply miss her.

Rhonda will be remembered for her sweet and bubbly personality. She had a special gift for making others smile-even strangers-and her laughter was truly contagious. Her warmth, kindness, and joyful spirit left a lasting impression on everyone who knew her.

Rhonda's memory will live on in the hearts of all who knew and loved her. Our hearts are deeply saddened by this loss, and she will be missed more than words can express. We find comfort in knowing she is at peace and in the many beautiful memories she gave us-memories filled with laughter, love, and the warmth she shared so freely. She will forever remain in our hearts, guiding us and reminding us to smile, just as she always did.

A funeral service will be held on Wednesday, March 25, 2026, at Honquest Family Funeral Home with Crematory-Mulford Chapel, 4311 N. Mulford Rd., Loves Park, IL, 61111 at 3:00 PM, with a visitation starting at 1:00 PM until the time of service.
