Rhonda Lea (Ard) Steele, age 65, passed away August 25, 2025, at Freeman Hospital in Joplin, Missouri. Rhonda was born July 28, 1960, in Chanute, Kansas, to George D. Ard and Janice C. (Laver) Ard.

Rhonda graduated in 1978 from Humboldt High School. She worked in banks in Oklahoma for many years and she also worked for the Humboldt Elevator.

Rhonda was an avid Chiefs fan. She loved spoiling her grandkids and great-grandkids. Rhonda loved her family and enjoyed spending time with them. She liked to garage sale every weekend.

Rhonda was preceded in death by her sister, Connie Lickteig.

Rhonda is survived by her parents; son, Steven (Lori) Lichtenwalter; daughter, Stacy Biffle; numerous grandchildren and great-grandchildren; and partner, Everett (Skip) Couch.

A graveside memorial service will be at 1:30 p.m. on Friday, August 29, 2025, in the new pavilion building in Mount Hope Cemetery, Humboldt, Kansas.

Memorials are suggested to the Rhonda Steele Memorial Fund (to help with funeral expenses) and checks are to be made payable to Feuerborn Family Funeral Service, 1883 US Highway 54, Iola, Kansas 66749.
