Rhonda Williams Obituary

Obituary published on Legacy.com by Evergreen Memorial Funeral Home (a.k.a. Allen G. Madison's Evergreen Mem FH on Oct. 29, 2025.
Rhonda LaLisa Williams was born on October 22, 1966, to John Henry Williams, Jr. and Mildred Faye Green Williams in Dallas, Texas. She grew up alongside her seven siblings in the greater southern Dallas area.

Rhonda confessed her belief in Christ at an early age under the leadership of Rev. H. D. Gill at Morning Star Missionary Baptist Church. She later moved her membership to Concord Church, where she faithfully served in several ministries.

Rhonda received her early education through the Dallas Independent School District, graduating from Justin F. Kimball High School. She attended Dallas College – Mountain View, majoring in Criminal Justice. She held an All Line Adjusters License Certification. At her core, Rhonda possessed boundless compassion for others while serving with the Bill Glass Behind the Walls Ministry. After graduation, she discovered how to share that compassion through a career in property management that spanned a decade. When she wasn't taking care of her residents, she devoted her time to caring for her family.

Rhonda was the epitome of what an aunt should be-nurturing her nieces, nephews, and their children like a mother, even amid her health challenges. She was an honest, caring spirit with a sharp sense of humor that could fill any room with smiles and laughter. Rhonda now joins in Heaven those who preceded her in death: her father, John Henry Williams, Jr.; sister, Delana K. Williams; maternal grandparents, Lillian Green and Thomas Green; and paternal grandparents, Amelia Bruton and John H. Williams, Sr.

She leaves to cherish her memory a host of loved ones: her mother, Mildred Faye Williams; stepmother, Rev. Peggy A. Williams; sisters, La Rosa Harris and Rosalind Williams, both of Dallas, TX; and brothers, Rev. Alton Williams (Susan), Randy Williams (Diane), Ricci Harris, Carlis Williams, and Ira Williams, all of Dallas, TX.

She is also survived by her aunts, Velma Frazier (Leonard), Rosetta Cerf (Eddie), LaWanna Williams, and Gloria Lee (Kenneth), all of Houston, TX; and her uncles, Dr. Lawrence Ray Williams, Sr. of San Antonio, TX, Leroy Williams (Ella Marie), Melvin Williams (Donna), Charles Williams, and Dr. Marvin Williams, all of Houston, TX.

Rhonda's memory will also be cherished by her godson, Preston Nelson; a host of nieces and nephews, many of whom she helped to rear; and many extended family members and dear friends.
