It is with heavy hearts that we announce the passing of Eric “Ric” Speidel, age 65, of Bonne Terre, Ric was born on June 15, 1959, and departed this life on January 15, 2025, at his residence. Ric was a proud over-the-road truck driver, his CB handle was” Tic Tac”. Driving was a profession that allowed him to travel and see the beauty of the country he loved. In addition to his career, he was an avid NASCAR fan, enjoying the thrill of the races. Above all, Ric cherished the time spent with his family and his best friend Tim Morris “Picker.” He was a devoted father and grandpa to his children and grandchildren. 

He is preceded in death by his parents, Norman and Bernice (Govero) Speidel, siblings, Jim Speidel and John Speidel, grandson, Eric Luebke.

 Ric is survived by his loving girlfriend Vickie Massey; children, Brandy Speidel, Scott Speidel and wife Jennifer; six grandchildren, Emily Luebke, Lydia Lange, Jada Lange, Loomis and Oliver Speidel; seven great-grandchildren; bonus children, Dylan McCutcheon, Brittney Smith and Shelby Massey; bonus grandchildren, Braylen Coleman, Stacey Smith, and Novalee Smith; siblings, Gary (Kathy) Speidel and Pam (Bill) Hart; a best and dear friend, Tim Morris ‘Picker”; along with many nieces, nephews and family.

Visitation will be held at C.Z. Boyer Funeral Home in Bonne Terre on Tuesday, January 21, 2025 at 5:00 P.M. until 8:00 P.M.
