Robert Louis Armstrong, fondly known to many as Bob, left this earth peacefully on Saturday, July 12, 2025 in Farmington, Missouri.
Born on Saturday, April 25, 1942, in St. Louis to the late James and Bertha Louis (Clipper) Armstrong. Bob was a kind-hearted soul whose warmth, humor, and generosity touched everyone he met. Known for his love of collecting magazines, Bob spent countless hours circling numbers and enjoying the simple pleasures of life.
Bob shared a beautiful friendship with his best friend, Zola, affectionately known as “Flo.” The two were inseparable companions, often seen shopping together and lending each other a hand caring for their beloved fur babies. Bob had a deep love for animals, especially his cherished fur baby Daisy, with whom he is now joyfully reunited in Heaven.
Bob was a loving son, brother, and cherished friend. He leaves behind his devoted sister, Sue Reilly; his best friend Zola “Flo” Renwick; and close friend Wayne Sansoucie. He will also be lovingly remembered by many nieces, nephews, cousins, and special friends whose lives he brightened with his humor, compassion, and generous heart.
A passionate bird watcher, Bob found peace in feeding and watching the birds, delighting in the beauty of nature. He never missed a Saturday morning cartoon, embracing the childlike joy they brought.
Bob was a gentle jokester, always ready with a playful tease and a good-natured laugh. He never met a stranger, offering kindness, conversation, and help to anyone in need. His open heart and lighthearted spirit made him a beloved figure in his community.
Those who knew Bob will remember him for his humor, generosity, and unwavering love for animals and people alike. His presence will be deeply missed, but his memory will forever be cherished by those whose lives he brightened.
Bob was preceded in death by: Parents; brother, Jimmy Armstrong and brother-in-law, Jack Reilly.
Rest easy, Bob — reunited with Daisy and surrounded by love.
