Mr. Ricardau Eugene Byrd
Sunrise April 15, 1957 – Sunset November 5, 2025
It is with deep sadness that we announce the passing of Ricardau Eugene Byrd.
Mr. Ricardau was born in Atlanta, Georgia to Enola Byrd of Belzoni, MS. and Jeanne Young Byrd of Atlanta, Georgia.
He attended M. Agnes Jones Elementary School and Frederick Douglas High School. After completing tenth grade he was admitted into Morris Brown College where he matriculated for three years and pledged Alpha Phi Alpha Fraternity. He joined the Army where he was admitted into the President's Honor Guard and received a general discharge after a year. He attended Life Chiropractic College for two years and worked as a phlebotomist for several years.
He also worked as a TSA agent for several years and was a popular employee at the Varsity. Ricardau married Maggie Williams of Sylvania, Georgia and had one child Eugenia.
He is survived by his daughter Eugenia Byrd; granddaughter, Aria; three sisters Dr. Janice Johnson, Angela Navarre, MD, Phyllis Wiggins (Kenney); two brothers, Forrest Byrd and Phillip Byrd as well as a host of nieces, nephews and cousins.
His services have been entrusted to Hill's Mortuary, Inc.
