Ricardo Perez Elizalde, a beloved member of the Woodsboro community, passed away peacefully on June 12, 2024, at the age of 93. Born on February 7, 1931, Ricardo was a pillar of strength and kindness to all who knew him. He will be remembered for his warm smile, generous spirit, and unwavering love for his family. He was married to the love of his life, Sylvia M. Elizalde on April 23, 1952. He enjoyed fishing and was a tremendous carpenter throughout his life. He also proudly served in the Army and loved his country. He is preceded in death by his wife; Sylvia Elizalde, sons; Ricardo T. Elizalde and Michael Elizalde. He is survived by his daughters; Diana E. Rangel, Ada E. Cantu, and son, Kevin Siebeneicher. 9 grandchildren; Ricky Elizalde, Sonny Cantu, Stephanie Pelham, Melissa Cantu, Danny Elizalde, Mathew Cantu, Jeffery Elizalde, Lupito Elizalde and Jacob Elizalde and 28 wonderful great-grandchildren. He also leaves behind his best friend, Shorty Elizalde.
Ricardo's legacy of love and compassion will continue to inspire those who were fortunate enough to have known him. In his memory, let us carry forward his legacy of kindness and goodwill towards others, just as he did throughout his remarkable life. Rest in peace, Ricardo Perez Elizalde. Your light will forever shine brightly in our hearts.
A visitation will be held on June 21, 2024, at Charlie Marshall Funeral Home from 12:00-1:00 p.m. with a Holy Rosary starting at 1:00 p.m. followed by a funeral service. Interment will be held at St. Mary’s Cemetery in Bayside, Texas.
Graveside is tentative due to severe weather this week.
