Ricardo Leyva, age 70, of Archbold, passed away in his home on September 30, 2022. Prior to his retirement, Ricardo worked for Sauder Manufacturing.
Ricardo was born in San Antonio, TX on March 21, 1952, to the late Emilio and Aurora (Lopez) Leyva. He later moved to Archbold. Ricardo loved taking care of and supporting his grandchildren. He also enjoyed grilling, camping, and dances.
Ricardo is survived by his daughter, Maxine (Adrian Alvarado) Leyva of Archbold; stepson, Eric (Stacey) Gomez of Maryland; sisters, Amy (Todd) Rice of Wauseon and Margarita of Defiance; and brother, Danny (Delia) Leyva of Archbold. He is also survived by his grandchildren, Elijah and Cayden Alvarado; and nieces and nephews, Alexi, Ava, Gabriela, Stephanie, Daniella, Jacob, Brandy, and Daniel. Ricardo was preceded in death by his parents; brother, Robert; sister, Irma; and granddaughter, Arianna Alvarado.
Visitation for Ricardo will take place on Wednesday, October 5, 2022, at the Grisier Funeral Home of Archbold from 2pm-6pm. A brief time of remembrance will take place at 6pm on Wednesday. In lieu of flowers, the family asks that memorial contributions be made to the benevolence of the family. Online condolences may be offered to the family at www.grisierfh.com. The Grisier Funeral Home of Archbold is honored to serve the Leyva family.
