Richard Thomas Angelle

Richard "Dick" Thomas Angelle, 95, a loving husband, father, grandfather, great grandfather, great-great grandfather, and friend passed away peacefully, Friday, June 20, 2025, surrounded by family at his home in Lafayette, Louisiana.
A Celebration of Life will be held on Friday, June 27, 2025, at Louisiana Funeral Services & Crematory, 108 Hardware Rd, Broussard, LA. Visiting hours will be observed from 4:00 PM until the time of Rosary at 7:00 PM. Service will follow at 7:30 PM. In death he has chosen to give, by donating his body to LSU Anatomical Research. Burial will be held at a later date.
Richard was born October 19, 1929, in Breaux Bridge, Louisiana, to Wilburn Remy, Sr. and Stella (Louviere) Angelle. He married the love of his life, JoAnn, on July 1, 1949, and the adventure of a lifetime began.
Richard, who was known as "Dick" by many lived a life full of adventure, laughter, love, success and so much more. He was a man of many trades who was self-employed most of his life. Many of his business ventures included Angelle's Sport Shop, Angelle's Fresh Seafood, Angelle's Pawn Shop, and Angelle's Enterprises (Gun Sales). One of his greatest adventures with his wife, JoAnn, was a trip to the Rocky Mountains where the campsite was filled with wildlife that brought them much joy.
Richard was a true outdoorsman who loved hunting and fishing. He had camps at Henderson Lake, Intracoastal City, Boston Canal, Cypremort Point, Saline Lake, and Theriot, LA. His and JoAnn's greatest joy was a custom built houseboat named "Our Last Rodeo".
Mr. Angelle was preceded in death by his father Mr. Wilburn Remy Angelle, Sr.; his mother, Mrs. Stella Louviere Angelle; and his brother, Mr. Wilburn Remy Angelle, Jr.
He is survived by his wife of 75 years, Mrs. JoAnn Hebert Angelle, two sons, Stuart Angelle (Debbie), Shane Angelle (Karen), daughter, Roxane Thibodeaux (Guy); 6 grandchildren; 12 great grandchildren; and 3 great-great grandchildren.
