Richard R. Bausher, 88, of Ontelaunee Twp., died Monday, September 30, 2024 in Maidencreek Place. He was the husband of the late Shirley L. (Isamoyer) Bausher, died January 11, 2009.
Born in Hamburg, he was the son of the late Roy C. and Edna M. (Schaeffer) Bausher. He was a member of New Jerusalem Lutheran Church. Richard was a US Army Reserves Veteran. He worked for many years as a truck driver for different companies, last working for ABF, before retiring in 1998. He was a collector of antique cars, especially enjoying MOPAR and Chrysler. He loved old country music and once loved NASCAR. He spent a lot of time helping to work on the family farm and was always fond of the farm life.
He is survived by a son: Michael S. Bausher, husband of Beth E. (Kochel), Penn Twp.; a daughter: Donna R. (Bausher) Rohrbach, wife of David L., Topton; eight grandchildren: Zachary Leibelsperger, Zenia Leibelsperger, Shannon Tiderman, Shane Leibelsperger, Haley Leibelsperger, Kelsey Leibelsperger, Madilyn Bausher, and Anna Bausher; and six great-grandchildren. He was predeceased by a son: Gary R. Bausher; a brother: Earl R. Bausher; and a sister: Doris R. Bausher.
Funeral Services will be held Friday, October 4, 2024 at 11:00 am from Leibensperger Funeral Homes, Inc., 223 Peach Street Leesport. Burial will follow in St. John's (Gernant's) Cemetery.
