Richard Keith Bednarcik, 70, passed away January 26, 2025. He was born April 3, 1954, to Hilda Devries Bednarcik and Richard Andrew Bednarcik, in Harvey, IL and of the Protestant Faith.
Richard loved photography, fishing, watching sports, the Braves, Cubs, and Bears. He enjoyed hiking outdoors, watching war movies & documentaries, and loved his grandchildren and animals. Raising his children was important to him.
He is preceded in death by his father, Richard Andrew Bednarcik.
Survived by his mother, Hilda Devries Bednarcik; son, Andrew Bednarcik; daughter, Shannon (Ronte) Johnson; siblings, Cindy (John)Bednarcik Weant and Claudia Bednarcik Croxton; grandchildren, Shayla Youngblood, Tianna Youngblood, and Robert Brown; nieces and nephews, Ryan Smoot, Clint Croxton, Matthew Croxton, Carly Gaudry, and Grant Gaudry.
A graveside service will be held at 2:30 PM on Friday, February 21, 2025, at Chattanooga National Cemetery.
