Joseph Anthony Bednarcik

Joseph Anthony Bednarcik age 74 of Newton Falls passed away peacefully into eternal rest on Monday Feb 3, 2025 at the Cortland Healthcare Nursing Home in Cortland. He was born on December 1, 1950 in Warren, OH the son of the late Joseph E. and Margaret R. (Kohut) Bednarcik. Joe has lived in Warren for the past 20 years, recently moving back to Newton Falls, Joe was a 1969 graduate of Newton Falls High School, and graduated college in 1974 from General Motors Institute. Joe was employed as a Manufacturing Supervisor & Plant Engineer for 36 years at General Motors in Michigan and Delphi Packard Electric in Warren, retiring in 2005. Joe married the former Carole J. Menelle on June 29, 2000. Joe and Carole were blessed with 15 wonderful years of marriage before her passing on January 12, 2015. Joe was a member of St. Mary & Joseph Church in Newton Falls. Joe enjoyed woodworking, gardening, landscaping, and anything mechanical. Joe loved traveling with his wife and family gatherings.
Loving memories of Joseph will be carried on by: 2 daughters, Kimberly Bednarcik of Newton Falls, Amanda (Tony) Thalacker of Newton Falls, son, Matthew Bednarcik of Newton Falls, brothers, Vincent Bednarcik of Milton Twp., Gregory (Grace) Bednarcik of Charlotte, NC, grandchildren, Taylor Bednarcik, Taj Scott, Collin Scott, Alex Thalacker, Alyssa Thalacker, many nieces and nephews, and his dear friends, Koreen Palm, Margaret Petrosky, Dee Scerba, and Sandra Kinter. Joe is preceded in death by his parents, his wife: Carole, 1 granddaughter, Alexa Thalacker.
Funeral services will be at the James Funeral Home in Newton Falls on Thursday Feb 13, 2025 at 11:00am with Pastor Chuck Campbell officiating. Calling hours will be at the funeral home on Wednesday Feb 12, 2025 from 4:00-7:00pm. Joseph will be laid to rest beside his wife Carole at St. Joseph Cemetery in Newton Falls. Per Joe's wishes, all monetary contributions may be made to the St. Mary & St. Joseph Catholic Parish Ladies Guild 131 West Quarry St., Newton Falls, OH 44444 in memory of Joseph A. Bednarcik & Carole Menelle.
