Richard A. Belina

Richard A. Belina, 76, of Paramus, passed away on Saturday, November 8, 2025 after a brief but extremely aggressive battle with cancer. Richard grew up in Wood-Ridge, New Jersey and graduated from William Penn College with his Bachelor's Degree in Business before later going on to earn his Master's of Business Administration from Montclair State University. Before retiring in 2008, Richard worked for Hudson City Savings Bank as a Banker for 36 years, serving as Assistant Vice President and Branch Manager. He was a Member of Our Lady of the Visitation R.C. Church in Paramus. Richard was a devoted family man, and he was happiest spending time with them whether at home, down the shore in Lavallette, or in Walt Disney World, where he took his family nearly every single year. Richard was an avid sports fan, rooting for the Knicks, Jets, and both the Yankees and the Dodgers. He got to watch his beloved Dodgers win the World Series in his final days at the hospital. At home, Richard could often be found working in the yard, swimming in his pool, reading books in his favorite chair, or tearfully watching sappy Hallmark movies. He was an incredible listener and mentor, and he spent many hours talking with his wife and kids and offering wise advice. There was not a day that went by in which he did not remind them how much he loved and appreciated them. He made their house a home. Richard will be so dearly missed by all who knew and loved him.
Cherished husband of Chrisanne Belina (nee Mastrolia) for 35 years. Loving father to daughter, Candice Belina, and son, Bradley Belina. Richard is survived by his brother, Douglas (Lisa) Belina, sister-in-law, Kerrianne (Kevin) Garlasco, brother-in-law, Ronald (Susan) Mastrolia, Jr., brother-in-law, Darren (Ann Marie) Thomas, and father-in-law, Ronald Mastrolia, Sr.. Richard is also a beloved uncle to several nieces and nephews. Richard is pre-deceased by his parents, Andrew and Margaret Belina, and his mother-in-law, Patricia Thomas.
Family will receive friends on Wednesday, November 12, 2025 from 3:00 pm - 7:00 pm at the Vander Plaat Memorial Home, 113 South Farview Avenue, Paramus, NJ. Funeral Service will be held at 9:30am on Thursday, November 13, 2025, at the Vander Plaat Memorial Home, followed by a 10:00 am Funeral Mass at Our Lady of the Visitation R.C. Church 234 N. Farview Avenue, Paramus. Interment to follow at George Washington Memorial Park, Paramus, NJ.
