Richard Wayne Bice

Wayne Bice, a lifelong resident of Pearl River, passed away at the age of 75. Wayne was born in Montgomery, Alabama and grew up in Slidell, Louisiana. He was a graduate of Slidell High School. He was a hunting enthusiast who loved the outdoors. Wayne was a hard worker who instilled work ethics, loyalty, and respect in his children. His friends and family could always count on him. He shared words of wisdom, sound advice, and guidance to the ones he loved. Wayne never held back and would always shoot you straight without judgement.

He was the loving father to Gina Bice, Walter Penton, Stacy Slaughter, and grandfather to Kélea Buras, Megan Penton, Raven Penton, Caitlyn Penton, Jarrett Simmons, Daelan Simmons, and Jackson Bice.

He is also survived by seven great-grandkids, his brothers, Larry Bice (wife Judy) and Jackie Bice, countless cousins, and all his loving nieces and nephews.

Wayne is preceded into death by his beloved wife Jo Ann Bice, children Richie Bice and Michelle Slaughter, and his parents Richard and Annie Bice. Wayne will be greatly missed by his family and friends.

A viewing will be held on Thursday, February 15 from 6 pm to 9 pm for family and friends at William's Funeral Home, 67525 Hwy 41, Pearl River, LA. Funeral service will take place the following morning on Friday, February 16 at 10 am. Burial to follow at Saint Tammany Community Cemetery.
