Shirley Ann Barnes LaCoste

Shirley Ann Barnes LaCoste passed away peacefully on August 5th at her daughter's home in

Franklin, TN at the age of 87. She was born on October 25,1937 in Vicksburg, MS and was the

daughter of Ann Eleanor McCormick Barnes and Samuel Thomas Barnes. She was a graduate

of St. Francis Xavier High School, Vicksburg, MS Class of 1955.

She is preceded in death by her parents and loving husband, Barry LaCoste whom she was

married

for 25 years.

She is survived by her daughter Donna Bayley Franklin (Bruce) of Franklin, TN, Barry's children

Leslie J. Caddock (Kirby) and Guy N. LaCoste (Sylvia); granddaughter Shelly LaCoste

Sbisa (Justin) and great grandson Aiden LaCoste Allo of Pearl River, LA; her sister Catherine

Downey of Pearl River, LA, four brothers John D. Barnes (Anne) of Vicksburg, MS, David W.

Barnes(Linda) of Tyler, TX, Ronald T. Barnes(Patty) of Bellevue, NE and Paul V.

Barnes(Sandra) of Vicksburg, MS. along with being "Auntie" to Sean P. Downey and many other

nieces and nephews and cousins.

Shirley was a long-time faithful member of the Pearl River Methodist Church where she

volunteered for many years. She was a beloved Mother, Sister, Granny, Auntie and dear friend

to many. She will

be remembered for her unwavering faith, kindness, love of family and welcoming smile to all

who knew her.

Services to celebrate her life will be held at Pearl River Methodist Church on August 9, 2025.

Visitation 10am – 12pm, followed by funeral service at 12pm and burial to follow at Pearl

River City Cemetery.

Pallbearers are John, David, Ron & Paul Barnes, Guy LaCoste and Kirby Craddock.

Honorary pallbearers are Bruce Franklin, Aiden Allo and Sean Downey.
