Leopold LaCoste Obituary

Obituary published on Legacy.com by McNutt Funeral Home - Conroe on Oct. 29, 2025.
Leopold Charles LaCoste, known to his friends and family as "Polo," passed away on October 14, 2025, in Conroe, Texas. Polo, age 84, was born on May 28, 1941, in Houma, Louisiana.
Relatives and friends of the family are invited to attend a committal service at Houston National Cemetery on Monday, November 24, 2025, at 12:30 p.m.
Polo, a proud Marine, honorably served in the United States Marine Corps. He earned a Business Degree from Nicholls State University and was a successful entrepreneur and businessman.
Polo was selfless in his actions, often going out of his way to help those in need without expecting anything in return. His loving nature was felt by everyone he encountered, and his warmth and generosity left a lasting impact on his community.
Polo is preceded in death by his parents, James Francis Sr. and Leonore Frances LaCoste; brothers, Warren LaCoste, James F. LaCoste Jr. and wife, Lessie, William T. LaCoste and wife, Edith, Robert LaCoste; nephew, WJ LaCoste Jr.
Polo's legacy is one of love, service, and commitment. He will be deeply missed by his devoted wife, Sharon LaCoste; his children, Leopold Charles LaCoste II, William LaCoste, Trisha Highnote and husband Wes, Kent Caballero, and Jeremy Caballero and wife Sara; brother, Martin LaCoste Sr. and wife, Phala; numerous nieces, nephews, grandchildren and a great grandchild; and by all those who were fortunate enough to have known him. His memory will be cherished and kept alive through the stories shared by his family and friends, and the countless lives he touched with his extraordinary spirit and character.
As we bid farewell to Leopold Charles "Polo" LaCoste, we celebrate a well-lived life that exemplified the very best of the human spirit. We take comfort in knowing that his legacy of selflessness and love will continue to inspire and guide us all. Polo's journey on earth may have concluded, but the impact of his life will endure for generations to come.
