Richard (Rick) Edward Bischel, (68), of Oklahoma City, Oklahoma, passed away on March 29th, 2024, at his home while holding his loving wife's hand.
Richard, fondly known as Rick, Dad, and Papa, was born to Jerome Oscar Bischel and Lucille Mae (Yeager) Bischel on September 6th, 1955, in Chippewa Falls, Wisconsin. He grew into adulthood on his parent's dairy farm in Bloomer, Wisconsin, before relocating to Oklahoma. While he would consider himself a "jack of all trades-master of none", he ultimately became the proud owner of his own business, "Rick's Tree & Lawn Service". He became a homeowner and raised his family. He was a proud father and an even prouder "Papa" - the one role in his life that came naturally to him.
Richard is survived by his wife Mickey and 4 children, Melissa Bischel, Joseph Bischel, April (Paul) Vanover, and Judith (Andrew) Medina. He is also survived by his 9 grandchildren, Christopher Williamson, Gloria Bischel, Jonathan Williamson, Lillian (Mac) Kennedy, Anderson Bischel, Haylee Bischel, Jaxi Nelson, Auston Medina, and Kyle Medina. Richard is also survived by his first great granddaughter, Wynter Lynn-Marie Williamson, who he cherished. Additionally, he is survived by his siblings, Norbert (Maryann), Frederic, Susan, Francis, Clara, and Mary Bischel.
Upon his passing Richard was reunited with his two daughters, who preceded him in death, Mary Lucille Bischel and Michelle Lee Bischel. He was also reunited with his parents Jerome and Lucille (Ma) and his grandparents, Edward/Anna Bischel and Emmett/Gertrude Yeager.
Richard will be remembered as a man who never met a stranger, one who was generous beyond measure, and one who would be considered by most as "the hardest working man you will ever meet". He was a simple country boy who loved his family and one who was loved by his family. He will be missed.
