Jack Mason, 67, of Choctaw, OK, passed from this life on September 25, 2025. He was born on May 26, 1958, to Jack Mason and Jodie Traxler.
A true jack of all trades, Jack lived a life defined by hard work, compassion, and service. He dedicated 39 years of his life as a heavy hauler for OG&E, where his work ethic and commitment earned the respect of his peers. But Jack's contributions didn't stop with his career. He also poured his heart into every project, whether remodeling a kitchen, building with his hands, or caring for the land he loved so much.
Jack found peace and purpose in working outdoors. His yard was his pride and was always well-maintained, free of stickers for barefoot adventures, and tended with the same care he gave to everything in life. He was a man who found joy in the simple things: mowing the lawn, caring for his animals, and cooking biscuits and gravy for his family whenever requested.
Jack's heart was as big as the land he cherished. Jack was a loving father to his children, expanding his family alongside his beloved wife, Theresa, whom he loved faithfully since 1986. He was a father not just to his own children, but to anyone who needed one. His love extended beyond people, too. Jack cared for an ever-growing family of animals over the years, including horses, goats, chickens, guineas, dogs, cats, birds, and even a monkey companion with whom he shared a remarkable 30-year bond.
Though Jack gave freely of himself to many, no one held a more special place in his heart than Theresa. Their deep love for one another was unmistakable to all who knew them, and it overflowed into the lives of their children. His friends and family always knew that Jack could be counted on for a laugh, a helping hand, or a place at the table.
Jack is survived by his loving wife, Theresa Mason; their children: Jaclyn Mason and her fiancé Tyler West, Jeremiah, Joshua, Seth, Bella, and Triston Mason; Cheyenne Biggart; Gracie Dalrimple and her husband Gabe; and his biological children: Derek Mason and his wife Jennifer, and Lacey Kennedy and her husband Bobby. He is also survived by 13 grandchildren: Avery, Roy, Irisa, Avery II, Bryden, Noah, Logan, Ryland, Brantley, Haddlie, Xander, Braxtin, and Jennifer. Jack leaves behind his siblings: Roger Mason and his wife Brigitte, Michael Mason and his wife Alicia, Kenny Mason, and his sister Dawn Mobley and her husband Ronnie; as well as numerous nieces, nephews, and extended family members.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Jack Mason and Jodie Traxler, and his brother, Tony Mason. He is now joyfully reunited with his best friend and faithful companion, Scout, whom he missed every day since his passing.
Jack's life was a testament to quiet strength, unwavering devotion, and unconditional love. His legacy lives on in the many lives he touched-family, friends, children, animals, and anyone lucky enough to cross his path. Though he is no longer with us, the love he gave will echo through generations. He will be deeply missed and forever remembered.
