Richard M. Bohl, age 75, passed away peacefully at Lake Hallie Memory Care on August 7, 2023.
He was born on May 23, 1948, in Chippewa Falls to Herman and Clara (Stoffel) Bohl. Dick honorably served his country in the US Army and on July 29, 1972, he married Karen Jahnke in Tilden. He worked many years driving truck for various places. Dick was a past president of the Tilden Lions Club, a member of the Bloomer Rod & Gun Club, Bloomer American Legion and St. Paul’s Catholic Church. Dick enjoyed fishing, hunting, camping, coin collecting, bowling, cheering on the Green Bay Packers and Milwaukee Brewers and spending time with his family, grandchildren and grand dogs.
Dick is survived by his daughters: Deanna (John) Caterer of Bloomer and Dawn (Aaron) Wright of Keystone Heights, FL, four grandchildren: Katlyn McCarty, Amber (Fiancé Bryan Bedford) Caterer, Chelsey Burton and Noah Burton, brothers: Dennis (Jane) Bohl, Dale (Sue) Bohl, Jim (Cheryl) Bohl and Bob (Carol) Bohl; sisters: Carol Steinmetz, Marge Krejci, Doris (Ron) Seiker, MaryAnn (Dave) Lambert and Pat (Paul) Dachel; and many nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.
He was preceded in death by his parents: Herman and Clara Bohl; wife: Karen in 2022; and brother: Tom Bohl.
The family would like to thank the direct care staff at Lake Hallie Memory Care and St. Croix Hospice for the exceptional care shown to their father.
A celebration of life will be held at 11:30 am, on Saturday, August 12, 2023, at the Bloomer Baptist Church, 2620 Duncan Rd. Visitation will be from 9:30-11:30 am on Saturday at the church. Inurnment will be at St. Catherine’s Cemetery with military honors by the Bloomer American Legion/VFW/AMVETS. Olson Funeral Home in Bloomer is assisting the family.
