In Loving Memory of Jacqueline Alice Bohl
February 22, 1936 – October 19, 2025
Jacqueline Alice Bohl, fondly known as Jackie, was born on February 22, 1936, in Cleveland, Ohio to her late parents, Charles Geiger and Elenore Geiger. Jackie lived a vibrant and full life, touching the hearts of everyone she met with her energetic spirit and boundless kindness.
Jackie is survived by her beloved brother, Robert Butch Geiger, and a large and loving family. She was the cherished mother of Donald O'Malley (Vicky-deceased), Diann Tomko (Alan), Charles O'Malley (deceased), Susan O'Malley, Robert Sobczak (Karen), Jon Sobczak (June), Carilyn Barnby (Bruce), Cindie Thompson (Dan), Connie Barrington (Dennis), Cheryl Shultz (William), Thomas Bohl (Carol), Jonathan Bohl (Sheila-deceased), and fur baby Queenie.
Her legacy continues through her grandchildren: Crystal Washburn (Michael), Lloyd Roach (Alycia), Edward Tomko, Joshua O'Malley (deceased), L'Erin Mooney (Nelson), Bruce Barnby III (Anne Koncel), Heather Guay, Matthew Guay, Joseph Barrington, Jacob Barrington, Amber Shultz, Kelsie Shultz, William Shultz, Sonya (Ashley) Carney, Kevin (Kelly) Sobczak, Lindsy (Keith) Garner, Lauren Thompson, and Ryan Thompson.
Jackie was also blessed with many great-grandchildren: Ariel Kleidosty, McKenzie Kleidosty, Bruce Barnby IV, Jae Mooney, Ella Mooney, Caiden Carney, Jade Carney, Rylan Sobczak, Forrest Sobczak, Bree Shultz, Hezeki Webb, Braylon Webb, Jamison Rayford, Kynzlee Rayford, Jodicee Garner, Oaklan Garner, Hendrix Garner, Audrina Allen, Haylee Roach, Madalyn Hansen, Benjamin Hansen, and Waylon Ray Barrington.
She was proceeded in death by her late husbands Harold Bohl (third), Chester P. Sobczak Jr. (second), Darrel O'Malley (first), and her brother Charles Geiger.Jackie was known for her lively personality and zest for life. She worked as a school bus driver for Brunswick City Schools for over 30 years, where she also trained new drivers and excelled in Bus Rodeos, winning numerous awards for her skills and dedication.
Her commitment to community shined as she volunteered with the Brunswick City Baseball League, coaching games each summer. Jackie also taught swimming lessons and lifesaving courses at Sleepy Hollow Lake Country Club, impacting countless young lives.
After retiring from bus driving, Jackie continued her service as a volunteer at Medina Hospital, where she delighted in helping staff and guests. She also served as a nutrition desk volunteer at the Medina County Senior and Adult Services, always ready with a warm welcome.
Jackie enjoyed a variety of hobbies that included her love for animals, puzzles, reading, game shows, bowling, roller skating, ice skating, knitting, crocheting, quilting, sewing, gardening, canning, cooking, hunting, and camping at Turtle Creek Marina, Oak Harbor in Sandusky, where she loved fishing and boating on Lake Erie. She was renowned for hosting and catering Bohl Pig Roasts with her late husband Harold. Jackie was active in ladies aide at Waltz Church and involved with the Fraternal Order of Eagles (F.O.E.).
The family extends heartfelt thanks to Dr. Mendpara's office for their compassionate care, Western Reserve Masonic Community, especially her nurses Diane, Nicole and many more, and Crossroads Hospice for their support during Jackie's final hours.

Visitation will be held on Friday, October 24, 2025, from 11:00 AM to 1:00 PM, followed by graveside services by Pastor Les Buttolph at Medina Center Cemetery at 1:30 PM on Fenn Road. Afterward, a social gathering will take place at Waltz Global Methodist Church (7465 Egypt Road,
