In addition to his parents, he was predeceased by his brothers, Joseph Boscia, and Carmeno Boscia and his wife Carol.
Richard received an honorable discharge as a disabled veteran of the 119th Military Police of the United States Army in 1967. Richard was a self-employed building contractor of J. Boscia & Sons and AKM, Inc. He completed a variety of commercial and residential construction projects, working tirelessly for years, along with his brothers and nephews. He shared years of experience and camaraderie in the construction industry with a vast amount of tradesmen.
Richard was a long-time member of the Johnston Lions Club, serving a successful term as Lion President. He earned the Melvin Jones Fellow Award for his dedicated humanitarian services from the Lions Club International Foundation. He was a member of the Rhode Island Builders Association, Italian American Club, Rosario Society, Santa Maria Di Prata Society, American Legion, and Riding 76ers.

He loved entertaining family at his home, especially the social gatherings with friends, family and cousins in his garage. As a devoted and solemn parishioner of Saint Joseph's Church, he was deeply committed to his Catholic faith.
A visitation will be held from 4-7 pm on Thursday, September 5, 2024 in the Tucker-Quinn Funeral Home, 643 Putnam Ave. (Rt. 44), Greenville. My Sons and i have had Richard and Angela as loyal and cherished customers for over 25 years. Very sorry to hear of his passing. I will always remember Rihard sitting in the garage smoking a cigar and watching "Me TV".
He was a good guy and a great customer. The kind you wish you had more of.
