Richard and I were cousins who´ve known one another our whole lives. His Mom, Alida and my Mom, Irene were both Chouinards. Having shared a heritage of French Canadian lineage we shared many many of the holidays that traditional French Canadians shared. Early memories were going to Drew Road in Somersworth on New Year´s Day to celebrate the passing of one year and welcoming of the new. Weddings, funerals, birthdays. My sister, Carrie and I were only a month older than Richard. His smile and love of older people were legendary. He was a good man. He shall be missed. John R Huston.

We were shocked to hear of Richard's sudden passing. We had been neighbors for several years and he then sold & he
moved not far away and would always take walks by our home and he would stop and chat if we were outside. He was a very caring man and went out of his way for others. We will miss our chats. May he R.I.P. Jean & Elaine Shepard

I will miss Richard. His smile, kindness, and the way he kept the French language active in church.

Although we were not what one would call "close" friends, I have known Richard for many, many years and I have always admired his faith and dedication to his religious convictions.
Rest in peace my friend; you've earned it.

I knew Richard from the time he was a young child. His mother was a dear friend of my mother´s. He was a wonderful friend and devoted to my mother when she was in the last stages of her life. We were going to go to lunch the week after he passed. He was a very good man. I will miss him.
