Richard "Rick" Lee Bounds, age 64, of Branson, Missouri, passed away April 15, 2024, peacefully at his home with his wife by his side. He entered this life September 1, 1959, in Misawa military base, Japan, the son of Roy and Bonnie (Nelson/Holmes) Bounds. He was joined in marriage September 3, 2021, to Barbara Taylor.
Rick was devoted to his faith and was a fun and lively man who took time to listen to music and act in theater. In his younger years, he enjoyed skiing, baseball, and football; Rick also renovated houses, traveled, and fished any chance he had. He was a corporate trainer/programmer. He will be greatly missed.
Rick is preceded in death by his father and a brother, John Bounds.
He is survived by his wife, Barbara Bounds of the home; mother, Bonnie Holmes of Kimberling City, Missouri; sister, Robin Evans of Kimberling City, Missouri; as well as many nieces, nephews, and extended family.
A celebration of life will be planned. Arrangements and cremation are under the direction of Cremations of the Ozarks.

I am sorry to read of Rick's death. My condolences to his widow and family.
I met Rick in 2016. I liked Rick. He and I shared many thoughts on music, politics and human nature in general. I appreciated his keen intelligence and enjoyed his sense of humor. He published a novel, River Primeval, and, occasionally confided in me about another.
Rick was a good and gentle man. I will remember him fondly.
