Richard Patrick Brothers passed away suddenly at home June 4,2025. He was born in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania, October 23, 1957. Rich was married to the love of his life Kimberly Rolly Brothers for 42 years.
After graduating from San Rafael High School in 1976 and a few odd jobs later, Rich went to work for the Marin Sheriffs Department from 1980 until 2013 and then went to work for the city of Novato from 2013-2019. Throughout his dispatch career, he moved from Dispatcher to Assistant Manager of 911. Rich cared about his coworkers as his extended family.
Rich furthered his education with a bachelor's degree from Saint Mary's College of California and a master's degree from the California State University of Long Beach.
Rich was the beloved father of Ryan, Kelly and Jennifer, and the proud grandfather of Margaret. As well as the loved brother of David Brothers.
Rich is preceded in death by his father Richard Brothers and his mother Florence Kennicott.
A celebration of Rich's life will be planned for a later date. In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to the Adult Congenital Heart Association, www.achaheart.org in Rich's name
