Richard m. Browning

Rick passed away peacefully at his East Fork home on July 22, 2024. Rick was born on
August 27, 1948, in Pendleton, Oregon, to his parents Glenn Lawrence and June Walker Browning.
Following seven years serving in the U.S. Army, Rick was honorably discharged following severe injuries incurred in Vietnam. He later married Valerie and their union produced three sons.
Rick's outgoing manner served him well in promoting musical and charity events. Later in life at his mother's house, Rick met Gayla Lesley who became not only his devoted caregiver, but also his second, loving wife on November 5, 2023. They enjoyed their home on the banks of the East Fork of the Salmon River, with loyal dog Cheyenne.
Survivors include his wife Gayla of the home; former wife Valerie and sons Aaron, Jason and Travis, and stepson Shawn Reizenstein, Gillette Wyoming; and sisters Melba Baker, Salmon,Idaho, and Charlotte Matos, Caldwell, Idaho.
friends and family are welcome to graveside services at the Salmon Cemetery ( Bring your own Chair) on Sunday, August 4, at noon. A potluck picnic will follow at the City Park (golf course).
In lieu of flowers the family suggests a donation to Challis Animal Sanctuary, Challis, Idaho, or your favorite charity.
