Richard C. Cancilla, 82, of Connoquenessing Twp., passed away on Sunday, June 8, 2025. Born August 23, 1942 in West View, he was the son of the late Samuel and Mary (Fiore) Cancilla. Rich proudly served our country in the Army during the Vietnam war. He was a member of St. Ferdinand Church-Divine Grace Parish in Cranberry Twp. He loved to volunteer and serve his community, especially through his work at the Cranberry Twp. Volunteer Fire Dept. He also belonged to the American Legion and VFW. An avid outdoorsman, Rich enjoyed hunting, fishing, boating, golfing and traveling. Above all, he cherished the time he spent with his family. He will be dearly missed and lovingly remembered. Rich leaves behind to cherish his memory his wife of 54 years, Janice (Sauers), who he married on July 1, 1970; his sons, Doug and Daniel; his brothers, Fred, Mike, Ronnie and Bob; his sisters, Mary, Keitha, Pat and Donna; and his large extended family of nieces, nephews and cousins. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his son, Jason; and his brothers, Jim and Tom. Friends and family will be received on Wednesday, June 11, 2025 from 5-8 P.M. at the Boylan-Glenn-Kildoo Funeral Home & Cremation Svcs., Inc., 130 Wisconsin Ave., Cranberry Twp., PA 16066. A Blessing Service will be held at 11 A.M. on Thursday, June 12, 2025 at the funeral home. Rich will be laid to rest with full military honors at Pinewood Memorial Gardens.
