Richard Carr Obituary
Born on October 14, 1940, in South Berwick, ME, Richard was the son of the late Franklin and Hazel (Brown) Carr. A true car enthusiast at heart, he found joy in working on classic cars, drag racing, and cruising the scenic roads. He loved walking Short
Sands Beach in York, ME with his loving wife Mary.
After years of honing his craft as a mechanic, Richard moved on to a 47-year career at Prime Tanning in Berwick, Maine. Once he semi-retired, he worked multiple years for Hannaford Grocery store in Dover, and his last position was at Autozone in Dover driving. He loved talking to people about anything.
Richard was predeceased by his beloved wife, Mary Carr; his daughter, Darlene Morrill; his brothers, Roland and Ralph Carr; and his sister, Rachel Carr.
Left to cherish his memory are his children, Richard G. Carr, Jr. and wife Shelia, Raymond Carr and wife Rachel, Robin Carr, Roland Carr, Ronald Carr, Lee Davis and wife Kim, and Mandy Carr and wife Michele; his brother, Roger Carr; as well as many grandchildren and great-grandchildren who will always remember his infectious laugh.
Family and friends are invited to gather for a memorial visitation on Wednesday, October 1, from 5:00 to 7:00 PM at Tasker Funeral Home, 621 Central Ave, Dover, NH. A graveside service will follow on Thursday, October 2, at 10:00 AM at New Town Cemetery in Rollinsford.
