Richard Chastain, age 74 of Jasper, Georgia passed away Saturday, November 29, 2025 at home. Richard was born on August 25, 1951 in Fairmount, GA to Emory and Dorothy Robinson Chastain.
Survivors include: Wife, Wanda Chastain of Jasper; daughter: Jaime and Ray Grace of Talking Rock; grandchildren: Hunter Parker of Chatsworth, Nate Grace of Talking Rock, Morgan Kosar of Jacksonville, FL and Cody Grace of Jacksonville, FL.; sister and brother-in-law: Earlene and Edwin Wigington of Jasper; sister Charlene Meiss of Jasper; great grand baby to be Maybree Eloise Grace; the lights of his life great niece Laiken Mosley and great nephew Gavin Mosley; and several nieces, nephews, friends and family also survive.
Richard was preceded in death by his parents Emory and Dorothy Chastain and sister Maxine Rogers.
Services will be held Tuesday December 2, 2025 at 2:00pm from the chapel of Roper Funeral Home with Pastor Butch Roberts officiating. The interment will follow in the Hinton Cemetery.
The family will be receiving friends at Roper Funeral Home on Monday December 1. 2025 from 11:00am until 9:00pm and Tuesday from 9:00am until the funeral hour.
The family will accept flowers or donations may be made to The Gospel Temple Church at P.O. Box 453, Tate, GA 30177.
Arrangements are entrusted to the Staff of Roper Funeral Home and Crematory.
