Richard Ledo Cialone, 92, of Dearborn, Michigan, died February 12, 2025. Richard, who was also known by Dick, was born August 22, 1932, in the mountains of Shirley Township, Pennsylvania to Antonietta (Cupillari) and Ferdinando Cialone. Richard was married to the love of his life, Barbara Faye for fifty-five wonderful years. Barbara proceeded Richard in death, and he has missed her terribly these past two and a half years.Richard is survived by his three children, who he raised with unparalleled love, support and compassion: Rich Cialone (Cynthia), Dawn Dochenetz (Kevin) and Kelly Loria (Dan). Equally cherished and adored where Richard's grandchildren, Amanda, Joe, Richie, Robert, Katie,Addison, Bryan and Emma. They called him Pappy and he would do anything in the world for them. He is also survived by his sister Ann of Oakland County and many nieces and nephews who he loved like his own children. Proceeded in death were Richard's five brothers and sisters, Tony Cialone, Leo Cialone, Robert Cialone, Zada Perta and Jean Cialone. These siblings were extremely close and were able to spend almost every weekend together for forty years at their cottage in Port Austin, Michigan. Many heated, nickel and dime poker games were played during these years. After graduating high school from Robertsdale, PA, Richard moved to Dearborn where he had
two aunts and uncles living. Eventually, he enlisted in the US Navy during the Korean War and served four years on the USS Uvalde. He was a hard-working mechanic and welder who became a proud business owner of Dick's Mobil for over thirty years in Dearborn. His customers became life-long friends. Richard employed and mentored many young men over the years and has stayed in contact with many. Richard happily spent several years helping at Puzzuoli's Auto. Richard was an avid outdoorsmen, who loved to hunt and fish. He was a lover of history who read many books regarding American history, especially WWII. He was a loyal Lion's fan and enjoyed watching sports. He was a member of the American Legion in Broadtop, PA. Richard lived a long and happy life with his family and friends. He was loved tremendously and will be missed by all that had the privilege to know him. The world lost one of the best.
Visitation Sunday, February 23, 2025 from 2:00-8:00 p.m. with a rosary at 7:00 p.m. at the Dearborn Chapel of Voran Funeral Home, 23701 Ford Road. (313) 278-5100. Funeral Monday February 24, 2025 instate 10:30 a.m. with a 11:00 a.m. Mass of the Resurrection to follow at Sacred Heart Catholic Church 22430 Michigan Ave. Dearborn, MI. Interment St. Hedwig Cemetery. Please share memories and/or leave condolences on Richard's guestbook on his tribute wall.
