Richard J. Conradson

Richard J. Conradson, age 96, passed away peacefully on Saturday, May 28, 2022, at his home in Sharon, Massachusetts, surrounded by his loving family. Born in Norwood, Massachusetts on February 28, 1926, he was the son of the late Joseph and Gunborg (Kallstrom) Conradson. He was raised in Norwood, where he graduated from Norwood High School with the Class of 1944. Following his graduation, Richard enlisted in the United States Army during World War II. He was stationed stateside in Watertown, New York. Upon his honorable discharge from the Army, Richard returned to his hometown of Norwood and began his career with Plimpton Press, working as a pressman's assistant.

Richard married his beloved wife, Marjorie V. Iarocci, on June 3, 1951, at Saint Mary's Church in Dedham. The young couple initially made their home together in Norwood, before settling in Sharon in 1956. Richard continued his career with Plimpton Press through the early 1970s, before taking a shipping position with Johnson and Johnson's Westwood location in 1975. He remained with Johnson and Johnson until his retirement in 1989.

Throughout his life, Richard loved having animals in his home, most recently welcoming his dog, Bella, into his life. Most of all, Richard was a dedicated family man, who treasured the moments surrounded by those he loved. As a young father, he regularly packed his car for a family vacation to Cape Cod, Maine, or the White Mountains of New Hampshire. He looked forward to a family road trip to Washington, DC, where he could gather with his extended family for an Easter celebration.

Beloved husband of the late Marjorie V. (Iarocci) Conradson.

Loving father of Carol M. Conradson of Pawtucket, Rhode Island, Diane C. Colonna and her late husband, John, of Stoughton, and Lynne A. Tetreault and her husband, Kevin, of Sharon.

Cherished grandfather of Brianna Douglas of Hancock, New Hampshire, and the late Addie Douglas.

Brother of the late Lorraine Palmer.

Also survived by several nieces and nephews.

At the request of Richard's family, all funeral services will take place privately, with interment in Rock Ridge Cemetery in Sharon.

Lynne and Carol, I am sorry for the loss of your Dad. He was a very special man and I am grateful that I knew him. He always had a kind word and a warm smile whenever I had the gift of seeing him. Prayers for you and your family.
