He was born on October 31, 1953 in Long Beach, California to the late Richard Ray Cook and Eleanor Geraldine Landress Cook.
In addition to his parents, Richard was preceded in death by his brother, Michael Cook.
He is survived by his brother, Christopher Cook of Cumming, Georgia; two sisters, Cathy DeReimer (Rose) of Peachtree Corners, Georgia and Mary Nix of Cumming, Georgia; and several nieces and nephews.
