Richard A. Czyzewski
Hilton, NY March 16, 2025 at the age of 85. Richard is survived by his wife and love of his life, Gudrun “Trudy”. Stepchildren Marc (Christine) Hryhorenko, Heidi (Donald) Green, Eric (Cathy) Hryhorenko. Grandchildren; Andrew and Alexander Green, Tyler, Erika, Ethan and Aiden Hryhorenko. Sisters; Barbara Miller, Doris (Michael) Gendron and three nieces. He was predeceased by his nephew Scott Miller.
Richard “Dick” or “Rich” to his close friends retired from Eastman Kodak Company and later worked at Wegmans for 17 years.
Richard enjoyed gardening, historical documentaries and travel, especially to Florida and the 1000 Islands in Alexandria Bay, NY where he had many happy memories. His family and friends meant everything to him. He was always there to lend a helping hand and was quick to joke. His easy and open personality enabled him to make quick friends with everyone. He will be missed by all who knew him.
Donations can be made in his name to the American Cancer Society. There will be a Celebration of Life to honor Richard on Saturday, May 3, 2025, noon to 4:00 pm (lunch served at 1:00 pm) at the V.F.W. Post 6105, 550 Peck Road, Hilton, NY 14468. Please join us as we say our final farewells.
