Richard "Ricky" Dahlman

Richard J. "Ricky" Dahlman, age 62, of Nekoosa, WI died peacefully in his sleep with his faithful miniature dachshund, Max, by his side on Sunday, August 6, 2023.
Memorial Services will be held 11:00 AM, Saturday, August 12, 2023 at Sacred Heart Catholic Church in Nekoosa. Rev. John Swing will officiate, burial will be in Riverside Cemetery in Nekoosa. The family will greet relatives and friends at Sacred Heart Catholic Church on Saturday from 10:00 AM until the time of services.
Ricky was born March 7, 1961 in Wisconsin Rapids, WI to LeRoy and Jean (Pischke) Dahlman. Ricky was a 1980 graduate of Nekoosa High School. He had a love for animals, and had many beloved pets. Ricky enjoyed bicycling, watching Nascar, going hunting, fishing and trapping with Mr. Grover. He enjoyed attending local stock car races, the Iola Car Show, the Central WI State Fair in Marshfield, Warren's Cranberry Festival and going to the Nekoosa Pumpkin festival. Ricky was an avid Green Bay Packer and Kansas City Chiefs fan. One of his favorite activities was sitting around his backyard campfire with friends, family and neighbors sharing snacks and stories.
Ricky is survived by his father LeRoy Dahlman, sisters Denna (Rodney) Glodowski, Misty (Jesse) Miller, Nephews: Keinin and Graedin Miller, significant other Sue Young, Uncles: Eugene (Marlene) Dahlman, Tom (Sheila) Pischke and is further survived by many cousins, friends, his dog Max and cat Mountain Dew.
He was preceded in death by his mother Jean Dahlman, grandparents Clara and Al Pischke, Gladys and Leonard Dahlman, uncles Timothy Pischke and Frank Dahlman.
Memorials may be designated to the South Wood County Humane Society.
In lieu of flowers, please do what Ricky would call a "good deed for the day." Hold a door, carry a package, give someone a big hug, mow a lawn, shovel a sidewalk, etc., etc. In this way his legacy of kindness and generosity will live on forever.
