Richard T. Dalvano passed away quietly at home on February 24, 2025 at the age of 88. He married his high school sweetheart Betty and they remained together for 70 years before he left us. Together with Betty, he raised three children. He started his working life as a "helper" and then a "mechanic" for a number of elevator companies in the New York area before starting his own elevator maintenance and construction company in 1974. He was a successful businessman and sold his private company (at which he toiled for long hours over many years) to a large, multi-national elevator company and then retired. Eventually he and Betty moved to Florida full time, having enjoyed the Naples area for decades before retirement. He enjoyed playing golf, traveling, and sharing lots of laughs with family and good friends. Everyone who has walked a path in life with him has recounted his genuine goodness, honesty, loyalty, and willingness to help others. He will be greatly missed by all who knew and loved him.
