Richard H Davis

Richard H. Davis, 85, of Howell, formerly of Paramus, passed away on Monday, June 2, 2025. Richard is the son of the late Anna & Joseph Davis, beloved husband of the late Helen Davis (nee Rochette). Devoted father of Lisa Daly (the late William), Richard Davis and his partner Joanne, Jodi Berger and her husband Douglas, Kim Richter and her husband Jeff, Michele Cahayla and her husband Gary, and Melissa Reed and her husband Tyler. Grandfather to Stacey Heron, Kayla Gabadian, Ashley Lubischer, Bridget Davis, Megan Davis, Kelly Richter, Caitlin Davis, Ryan Richter, John Cahayla, Connor Reed, Michael Cahayla, Kendall Reed and great-grandfather of Kylie, Michael, and Brianna Heron, Maxwell and Ava Gabadian, Olivia, Anthony, and Gabrielle Lubischer. Richard is predeceased by his siblings, George, Joseph, Mildred, Kenneth, and Donald. Uncle to many nieces and nephews.
Before retiring, Richard worked for Cityview Condos as a Building Superintendent for over 20 years. He was an avid and lifelong NY Mets Fan and had a passion for cooking with his own secret ingredients. Richard had a knack for working on cars, enjoyed crabbing in the summers, and loved spending free time watching his grandchildren participate in sports. Richard faithfully played the lottery, always choosing numbers that held special meaning to him. Above all, he treasured time with his large, close-knit family, including his grand dogs.
Family will receive friends on Monday, June 9, 2025 from 4:00 pm - 8:00 pm at the Vander Plaat Memorial Home, 113 South Farview Avenue, Paramus, NJ. Funeral Service will be held at 9:30 am on Tuesday, June 10th, at the Vander Plaat Memorial Home, and then to Our Lady of the Visitation R.C. Church, Paramus, for a 10am Mass of Christian Burial. Interment immediately following at the George Washington Memorial Park, Paramus, NJ.
