Richard Warren Dean, 69 years old, of Pensacola, FL passed away on July 17, 2025, at UF Health/ Shands Hospital in Gainesville FL. He was born in Jacksonville, FL to his parent, Ruby Jeannette Dean.

Richard was raised by his maternal grandmother, Annie Mae Dean. He attended Brownsville Elementary School, Brownsville Middle School, and Pensacola High School. Richard continued his education, graduating with a Doctorate in Business Administration.

Growing up he loved his dogs, artistry of blending colors, eclectic forms of music especially Southern Rock and songs with good guitar riffs, flying fixed wing aircraft, and photography especially of iconic natural scenes. His wish was to have his final resting place in North Carolina in the Smoky Mountains.

Early in his life he worked in Paint and Body, Auto mechanics, Admin for a day labor site, and finally Sales and Marketing.

He was a member of the Civil Air Patrol advancing to Lieutenant Colonel and Commanding Officer of the Squadron in Pensacola. He also enjoyed his time in the Pensacola Flying Club. Richard was a God-fearing man and was raised in Baptist Church.

He is preceded in death by his maternal grandmother, Annie Mae Dean; mother, Ruby Jeannete Dean-Anderson; cousin, Forest Dean Hill; and grandnephew, Patrick Issac Rodgers.

Richard is survived by his brother, William "Bill" Rodgers; cousins, Debbie (Mike) Fennell and Patricia Council; nephews, Jon (Bre) Rodgers, David (Samantha) Rodgers, and Steven (Paige Lehmann) Rodgers; grand nephews and nieces, Jade Cooke, Georgi Cooke, Victoria Rodgers, Jackson Rodgers, Thomas Rodgers, Cooper Rodgers, Logan Rodgers, Lyla Rodgers, and Grant Rodgers.

We will have a Celebration of Life to honor Richard W. Dean on Sunday, August 10, 2025, at 2:00 p.m. at Trahan Family Funeral Home at 60 Industrial Blvd, Pensacola FL 32503
