Shreveport, LA - Funeral services for Richard Alvin DeMoss, 92, will be held at Rose-Neath’s Southside Chapel, Tuesday, June 11, 2024 at 11:00 a.m. Officiating the service will be Chaplain Sam Mason. Honoring Mr. DeMoss as pallbearers will be his grandchildren and great-grandchildren, Bryan Mach, Marc McConnell, Gary Morris, Kenny Ramirez, Chase Evans, and Austin Mach. Interment will follow in Forest Park Cemetery on St. Vincent Avenue. The family will receive friends at the funeral home from 5:00 p.m. until 7:00 p.m. Monday, June 10, 2024.
Mr. DeMoss was born February 9, 1932 in Shreveport, Louisiana to Thelma Britt and raised by his loving mother and Herman Ferguson. He passed away on Monday, June 3, 2024 in Shreveport, Louisiana. Mr. DeMoss was a member of the First United Methodist Church of Shreveport and retired as the Sales Representative for B&J Floor Services. He loved visiting and dancing with friends. He was a loving husband and father, as well as a good friend to all those blessed to know him.
 Mr. DeMoss was preceded in death by his wife of 54 years, Mary Frances DeMoss. He is survived by his daughters, Sandy Palmer and Terri McConnell and husband, Robert; seven grandchildren and fourteen great-grandchildren; along with numerous nieces and nephews.
He will be missed by many friends and family who loved and adored him deeply. He is dancing in the sky with his sweet wife.
