To know Rich was to love him. His warm smile and kind, gentle eyes could light up any room. He left a lasting impression on everyone he met. A devoted family man, loyal friend, and proud member of the Cedar Lake Lions Club, Rich lived a life rooted in generosity, humility, and love. He was a devout Catholic whose faith was the foundation of his life.

Rich was a man of many talents. An avid fisherman and a gifted carpenter, he found true joy in nature and working with his hands. His craftsmanship is part of his legacy - he had a hand in building or fixing up many of his children's and grandchildren's homes, always eager to lend his skills to help those he loved.

He was also a passionate sports fan, faithfully cheering for IU, Notre Dame, the Cubs, and the Bears. Whether watching a game or casting a line, Rich's happiest moments were those spent surrounded by family. Nothing brought him more joy than their laughter, card games, stories, and togetherness.

Rich's quiet strength, unwavering kindness, and deep love for his family will never be forgotten. He leaves behind a legacy of love, hard work, and heartfelt memories. His spirit will live on in every home he helped build, every fish story retold, and every act of kindness inspired by his example.

He will be dearly missed by all who had the honor of knowing and loving him.
