Richard “Dick” Lang, passed away peacefully on February 15, 2025, at Waters Edge Home Community at the age of 80.

Funeral Service 11:00 a.m., Friday, February 21, 2025, at Northview – North Mankato Mortuary. Visitation will be one hour before service. Interment will be in Calvary Cemetery, Mankato.

Richard was born December 23, 1944, to Frank and Ella (Schnobrich) Lang in Comfrey, MN. He grew up in Mankato where he went to vocational school for Auto Body Mechanics and graduated in 1962. He worked for Gary’s Body Shop for over 30 years, until a devastating brain aneurysm, which resulted in early retirement. In his younger days Richard enjoyed riding his Harley, cruising around in his Corvette and spending time with his family and friends. One of Dicks favorite weekly pastimes was playing the lottery in hopes of winning the Powerball and sharing it with his children. Even though he never hit big, it always gave him something to look forward to every week.

Richard is survived by his three children, Tina (Jared) Dohrer, Kurt Lang, and Kelly Marks; his granddaughters, Katelynn (Matthew) Marek, Ashley Marks, and Jada Marks (Zach Leiferman); great-grandchildren, Carter Marek, Caleb Marek, Londyn Marek, Libby Marek, and Blaire Leiferman; his siblings, Bob Lang, Dave (Shari) Lang, Kenny (Patsy) Lang, Judy (Jerry) Reich, and Rosie (Bob) Thede; many nieces, nephews, and friends that he enjoyed spending time with over the years.

Richard was preceded in death by his parents, Frank and Ella Lang and his grandson, Jacob Lang.
